A luxurious white jasmine tea consisting of 100% thick and juicy tea buds. The buds are covered with a layer of silver downy hairs. Hence the name, Jasmine silver needle. Unlike other jasmine teas, our Jasmine Silver Needle has a thicker texture, and steeps a wonderful cup that perfectly balances the smoothness of white tea and the floral aroma of jasmine flowers. This delicate white jasmine tea also has subtle hints of lychee and pear. How our Jasmine Silver Needle tea is made While most jasmine teas are made from green tea leaves, our Jasmine Silver Needle is made from white tea. After the youngest buds of the tea plant are handpicked, they are carefully processed into white tea through withering and sun-drying. Once the water content inside the leaves are reduced to the desired amount, the buds now have the ability to absorb the aroma of jasmine blossoms. They are layered with fresh jasmine flowers and left to absorb the fragrance for several hours. This process is repeated until the taste of white tea and aroma of jasmine flowers are in perfect balance. The jasmine flowers are then removed and the tea is sealed into bags to preserve its delicate aroma.
