This small tea cake is made from large leaves harvested from ancient trees in the village of Xigui, in the tea region of Lincang. Its complex taste features notes of honey, caramel, herbs, flowers, and a delicate bitterness that quickly turns into a sweet and refreshing aftertaste. The texture is smooth with a delightful astringency, and its liquor is bright honey-yellow. The cake is medium-tightly pressed. It can be broken by hand, but we recommend using a tea prick or knife.
