This rod can be used for trolling, casting  and for deep water bottom fishing. Also a great fishing rod for fishing medium and large size bait like Sardines, Mackerel and Cabalitto and for throwing medium and large size lures like plastics, plugs and jigs. This rod will go great with a Penn Special Senator 114H 6/0 or a Penn Special Senator 113H 4/0 reel or any other reel that you prefer that uses 40 to 60 pound test line.
