Replacement Rear Apron for 1949-1966 VW Beetle Threaded decklid lock mount area for 1965-1966 applications Black anti-rust coating (must be removed before primer and paint) Requires welding for proper fitment This replacement rear apron is specifically designed for the 1965-1966 VW Beetle body. Due to the earlier aprons being out of production, this apron can also be used on earlier vehicles from 1949 through 1964 with some modifications. The decklid lock mount area is threaded for installation on 1965-1966 applications. When used with pre-1964 Beetles, the welded decklid latch will need to be removed from the original apron and welded to the new apron. Light modification is required to the decklid lock area on 1964 and earlier applications. The apron must be welded in place to ensure proper fitment and comes with a black anti-rust coating that should be removed prior to applying primer and paint.
