Bird Art Painting The bird art is hand painted using different kinds of Yixing clay, which first are processed in a more liquid state. The thin clay is painted on the teapot in several layers with a brush and different carving tools are used to add details. Jiquan Style Yixing Teapot This Yixing teapot is made based on the ‘Jiquan’ style which is inspired by the shape of earlier ancient tea kettles in China. The body is tube shaped with straight lines, which provides stable support and allows the tea to flow out smoothly. The long spout with a wide opening further enhances the fast pouring speed. In contrast to the straight lines of the teapot body, the handle features gentle curves, which adds a touch of softness.
